Unit Overview:
Sophocles’ tragedy Antigone is an ancient Greek play about the daughter of Oedipus, the man who killed his father and married his mother. Antigone is both daughter and sister to Oedipus. This play is the third in Sophocles’ trilogy. It follows Antigone as she makes the decision to bury her brother despite the risk of death. You will be responsible for completing vocabulary sentences, reading questions, writing responses, and an ethical dilemma project.
